This Cookie Policy explains how Alloy and Ash, LLC ("Alloy & Ash," "we," "us," or "our") and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies on www.alloyandash.com and related properties. This Cookie Policy is part of, and is incorporated into, our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by a website. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, software development kits, local storage, and server-side identifiers. We refer to all of these collectively as "Cookies."
2. Categories of Cookies we use
The table below summarizes the categories of Cookies we use, why we use them, examples of Cookies in each category, and typical retention periods. Specific Cookies may change from time to time as our service providers update their tools.
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Typical retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Required to operate the Platform: authentication, security, cart, load balancing, and other core functions. These cannot be turned off through our cookie controls. | Session ID, CSRF token, cart token, security cookies | Session or up to 12 months |

| Functional / Personalization | Remember your preferences (such as region or saved items) and personalize your experience. | Preference cookies, recently-viewed cookies | Up to 12 months |
3. Third-party Cookies
Some Cookies are placed by third parties on our behalf or directly on our Platform through embedded content, social plug-ins, or advertising integrations. The third parties may also use those Cookies for their own purposes in accordance with their own policies.
4. Your choices
You can manage Cookies in several ways:
- use our cookie preferences tool, accessible from the Platform footer ("Cookie Preferences" or similar);
- use your browser settings to block, delete, or restrict Cookies. Note that blocking some Cookies may affect functionality;
- opt out of advertising Cookies through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (www.aboutads.info/choices) and the Network Advertising Initiative (www.networkadvertising.org/choices);
- send a Global Privacy Control ("GPC") signal from a supported browser. We honor GPC as a valid opt-out of "sale" and "sharing" for residents of states whose privacy laws recognize it;
- use our "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the Platform footer.
5. Do Not Track
Our Platform does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because no common industry standard for "Do Not Track" has been adopted. We do respond to GPC signals as described in Section 4.
